Having this really weird issue on a buddies G8. Car drives fine, cruises fine. When you come to a stop, then let of the brake and get going again, car revs up as if it were in neutral. Let go of the gas and a few seconds later, *clunk* goes back into gear. Only does this in DRIVE. If we manually shift the car, it does not do this. Could the tcm be bad? Car has bolt ons and a camshaft. Stock converter, stock trans.
