NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Torque Converter lock up indication

My question is how do you know if the torque converter has locked up, I have hp tuners ( still getting use to the software ) Is there something in VCM scanner software that will indicate this?

Some more information, I have a L76 and 6l80e installed in a 1988 Nissan GQ patrol 4wd ( i dont think this vechical was inported into the States I am in Australia ) The vechical speedo is driven off a vss mounted on the transfer box with a corrector box as I have changed diff ratios and tyre sizes.

I have edited the diff ratio in the speedo section using VCMeditor so that the indicated speed when using VCMscanner matches the actual road speed of the speedo and a gps. When driving at 110kph I have watched the taco to see if I can detect a drop in rpm if the converter locks but have not been able to detect any rpm drop.

Using a vechical speed/rpm calucalator I estimate my rpm should be 2139 at 110kph but I am much higher.

So my question is how do I detect if the converter has locked?
